UDIMagic Free Edition v1.0 Release 2.0 is a FREE
Tally add-on utility that provides Tally-add-on features.
STEPS:-
1) Download and Install
UDIMagic Free Edition
Remarks:-
On successful installation, you will get a shortcut for UDIMagic FREE Edition on
your DESKTOP.
2) Make changes in the Tally.ini
(Tally configuration file is located in Tally folder) as shown below :-
Remarks:-
You can use any text-editor like NOTEPAD to edit the Tally.ini file.
3) Next, save the Tally.ini
file.
4) Start Tally Software and
open any dummy company.
Remarks:-
When you start Tally Software, you will be able to see
UDIMagic TCP 2.x in the Gateway of Tally menu. Here's how
it appears in the Gateway of Tally screen..

PS:
- UDIMagic FREE Edition has been tested with the above mentioned Tally versions.
- Ensure that you properly mention the TCP file in the Tally.ini file. If you still,
do not get "UDIMagic TCP 2.x" in the Gateway of Tally screen then try with the latest
EDUCATIONAL version of Tally (i.e. Tally 9)
Allows you to merge vouchers of two Ledgers. Here's an illustration of a situation
wherein this feature can be useful.
Mr X had been posting his routine expenses into various ledgers a/c as show below:-
a) Newspaper Expenses
b) Tea Expenses
c) Office Expenses.
However, when his Chartered Accountant saw the entries in Tally Software, he advised
that only one ledger must be kept for all these expenses as they of are of small
amounts. He advised that the entries of "Newspaper Expenses" and "Tea Expenses"
to be merged into "Office Expenses" ledger. In brief, only one ledger viz "Office
Expenses" was required.
Mr X used UDIMagic Free Edition to Merge two ledgers.

Step 1
Source Ledger : Newspaper Expenses
Destination Ledger : Office Expenses
Remarks:
Merge Ledger "Newspaper Expenses" into "Office Expenses"
Step 2
Source Ledger : Tea Expenses
Destination Ledger : Office Expenses
Remarks:
Merge Ledger "Tea Expenses" into "Office Expenses"
Please See:-
After merging, all vouchers of the "Source Ledger" will appear under the "Destination
Ledger" and the Source-ledger will be deleted.
Allows you to DELETE a Ledger including all its transactions.

Caution:-
Once a ledger is deleted (including all its entries), the same cannot be retrieved
back. Hence, be careful before you use this feature.
This feature enables you to retrieve data from Tally Accounting Software into MS-Excel
(using SQL-SELECT statements).
Remarks:-
Though Tally 9 supports export of Tally data into MS-Excel format, this functionality
is primarily restricted to export of Tally Reports and NOT raw data or selective
raw-data. Contrary to this, UDIMagic Free Edition allows you to retrieve selective
raw-data using SQL-SELECT statements.

Example 1 - Using SQL-SELECT statement to retrieve
Tally data into MS-Excel
Select $Name,$LedgerPhone,$Email
From LEDGER where $$IsChildOf:$$GroupSundryDebtors
Remarks:-
The above SELECT-statement retrieves all the Party-Names, Phones numbers; Emails-addresses;
ClosingBalances of all Parties falling under the group Sundry Debtors.

As of now, only one Report (i.e. Negative Stock) is available under this option.
This report displays all Stock-items which have negative balance on any date during
the specified period.
Remarks:-
Tally Software comes with "Negative-stock" report. However , if any stock-item has
a negative balance during the year but has positive balance on year-end (i.e 31-3-yyyy),
it will not be listed in this Report. As a result, this report does not provide
true picture of the Negative stock.
Allows you to retrieve records that you may have accidentally deleted in Tally.
It is similar to Windows Recycle bin which allows you to retrieve deleted files.
