Tally's multi-lingual capability supported by UDI-Magic
UDI-Magic

supports UNICODE. In other words, UDI-Magic supports import of multi-lingual data into Tally ERP
9 like importing Arabic, Hindi, Gujarati data into Tally ERP 9.
The unicode feature is supported in Tally 9
and higher versions only. Hence, you can import multi-lingual
data in Tally 9, Tally ERP 9, but NOT in older versions viz Tally 8.1,
Tally 7.2 or Tally 6.3. To use UDI Magic v4.0 with Tally 8.1, Tally
7.2, Tally 6.3 you must disable the UNICODE feature in UDIMagic. This
can be done using the "SETTINGS" option in UDI Magic.

the same steps as mentioned in section Getting started
with UDI Magic
Remarks:-
a) If you are using
Windows XP or Windows 2000/2003, then you have to make certain changes
in the Language settings as mentioned here
else you may get absurd characters when data is imported into Tally.
You will need the Windows CD to install the language features as
required by Tally.
b) While importing data into Tally using UDIMagic, ensure that the
language settings in Tally is set to "English".
