Unable to connect to Tally ERP 9<\/h3>\n

In the last few days, several of our clients have reported the problem that they are unable to connect to Tally ERP 9<\/strong> using UDIMagic.<\/p>\n

On further analysis, we noticed the following :-<\/p>\n

1) The Configuration box in the Gateway of Tally shows “Client without ODBC<\/strong>”
\n2) On using the option “Gateway of Tally >> F12 >> Advanced Configuration”, the options viz “Tally is acting as”<\/strong> and “Enable ODBC Server<\/strong>” are disabled.<\/p>\n

To resolve the aforesaid issue, follow the underneath steps :-<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Start Tally ERP 9<\/li>\n
  2. Press Ctrl + K<\/strong> to invoke Control Centre<\/strong> feature<\/li>\n
  3. Enter your Tally.NET user id and password<\/li>\n
  4. Select the option “Licensing & configuration<\/strong>“<\/li>\n
  5. Select the option\u00a0 “License Management<\/strong>“<\/li>\n
  6. Press F9 to select option “Gen Config List<\/strong>“<\/li>\n
  7. Next, specify the values for the options as shown underneath :-
    \na) Tally is acting as\u00a0\u00a0 = Server<\/strong>
    \nb) Enable ODBC Server = Yes<\/strong>
    \nPort = 9000<\/strong>
    \nCan be overridden locally = Yes<\/strong><\/li>\n
  8. Press Ctrl+A to save it.<\/li>\n
  9. Next, select “Gateway\u00a0 of Tally >> F12 >> Licensing >> Update License”<\/li>\n
  10. Next, restart Tally ERP 9.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    After following the aforesaid steps, the Configuration Box in Gateway of Tally must display Server with ODBC on Port 9000<\/strong><\/p>\n

    In case, if the problem still remains, kindly report the issue to Tally Solutions, Bangalore with your Tally Serial Number.<\/p>\n

    Remarks:-
    \nThe aforesaid issue has been brought to our notice by our Customers within India and outside India. <\/em>
    \nIt appears that some changes have been done by Tally Solutions, Bangalore relating to “Control Centre” default settings at their end which has caused this issue.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
